Daniel Martinelli is the author of Trauma to Triumph: A Broken Child Finds Freedom. He found courage within himself after many years to share his story to bridge the gap between his past and future. While the process was not easy, Daniel learned that shedding light on horrific truths was paramount to begin his healing journey.

He hopes that his story will gain capacity to break the stigma of mental health, specifically bringing awareness to those who battle post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a result of inherited childhood and adult traumas. He is confident that his story will become part of someone else’s survival guide highlighting coping mechanisms to overcome adversity.

Daniel earned a Bachelors and Masters degree and holds a career in Wealth Management at a major financial institution.

Daniel resides in Washington, D.C. with his King Charles Cavalier Spaniel Miniature Poodle, Winston.

Daniel is an advocate for mental health awareness, LGBTQ equality, progressive human rights, and children with special needs. In Daniel's free time, he enjoys nature, swimming, history, and reading.
